According to the Head of Aviation Services Division Aurimas Stikli\u016bnas, the results for the third quarter of this year show a steady growth of aviation indicators.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph\" style=\"margin:0cm; margin-bottom:.0001pt; text-align:justify; margin-right:0cm; margin-left:0cm\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph\" style=\"margin:0cm; margin-bottom:.0001pt; text-align:justify; margin-right:0cm; margin-left:0cm\"><span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><span style=\"vertical-align:baseline\"><span style=\"font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;,serif\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"font-family:&quot;Open Sans&quot;,sans-serif\">\u201cCompared to the same period last year, all aviation indicators were improved \u2013 the number of passengers increased by 3%, the number of flights increased by 1% and the number of cargoes increased by 10%\u201d, said A.\u00a0Stikli\u016bnas.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify; margin:0cm 0cm 0.0001pt\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph\" style=\"margin:0cm; margin-bottom:.0001pt; text-align:justify; margin-right:0cm; margin-left:0cm\"><span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><span style=\"vertical-align:baseline\"><span style=\"font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;,serif\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"font-family:&quot;Open Sans&quot;,sans-serif\">The fastest growth in the number of passengers was at Kaunas Airport, which is the second largest airport of Lithuania \u2013 <\/span><\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"font-family:&quot;Open Sans&quot;,sans-serif\">this number increased up to 16%. The total number of passengers at this airport was over 879,000. There was a significant growth in the number of cargoes transferred at Kaunas Airport (14%), whereas the highest growth in the number of flights was noticed at Palanga Airport (8%).<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph\" style=\"margin:0cm; margin-bottom:.0001pt; text-align:justify; margin-right:0cm; margin-left:0cm\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph\" style=\"margin:0cm; margin-bottom:.0001pt; text-align:justify; margin-right:0cm; margin-left:0cm\"><span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><span style=\"vertical-align:baseline\"><span style=\"font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;,serif\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"font-family:&quot;Open Sans&quot;,sans-serif\">\u201cMeanwhile, the most solid number was, as usual, demonstrated by the largest airport of the country, which compared to the peak year 2018, is stable so far and remains unchanged. The United Kingdom, which is visited by 20% of passengers from Lithuania, remains the most popular destination in the list. During the last period of time, the most passengers (11%) travelled from Lithuania to London Luton Airport.
