Lithuanian Airports (LTOU) has announced a tender to select an operator for the new multi-storey parking facility at Kaunas Airport. Currently under construction and scheduled to open in the summer of 2026, the new parking facility will accommodate more than 900 vehicles. LTOU plans to sign an eight-year contract with the selected operator.<\/p>\n
The tender invites experienced parking management companies with the technical and organizational capacity to operate a modern, 25,000-square-meter multi-storey facility within the airport area, ensuring efficient, digitalized parking solutions for passengers.<\/p>\n
Applicants must use or have the right to use a registered parking service brand that is already in operation at a parking facility with at least 500 spaces.<\/p>\n
Applications must be submitted by December 16, 2025.<\/p>\n
Investment value \u2013 \u20ac10 million<\/strong><\/p>\n The multi-storey parking facility currently under construction is an important part of Kaunas Airport\u2019s actively expanding infrastructure. Once construction is completed in the summer of 2026, the total number of parking spaces at the airport will increase by 60 percent \u2013 up to 2,445 spaces.<\/p>\n The new facility will provide parking for more than 900 vehicles, including 100 spaces reserved for people with special mobility needs. It will also feature electric vehicle charging stations and designated EV parking areas. In addition to the modern parking structure, the project will include an asphalted surface parking area next to the terminal, improved access roads, landscaping, and upgraded utility networks.<\/p>\n According to LTOU, the total investment in the project amounts to approximately \u20ac10 million. The future operator, once selected, will also be required to invest in the facility by installing and maintaining equipment such as EV chargers, automatic payment machines, barriers, and license plate recognition systems throughout the contract period.<\/p>\n Data from Lithuanian Airports indicate that the demand for parking at Kaunas Airport is increasing both due to rising passenger traffic and the expansion of aircraft maintenance and repair companies operating in the area.
