In September, a total of 633,000 passengers were handled at the three Lithuanian airports (LTOU), which is 10% more than the number recorded in September 2023. The LTOU data shows that this is another month this year when the all-time record for passengers handled in that month in the airport network was improved.

The total number of passengers on the LTOU network this August is 5% higher than in 2019, when 603,000 passengers were recorded in the same month.

According to LTOU, September saw a trend of around 3% growth in passenger numbers on the LTOU network for legacy airlines (compared to September 2023), while a 4% contraction in passenger numbers was recorded for low-cost airlines.

In September, 471 thousand passengers travelled through Vilnius Airport (+7% more than in September 2023), 128 thousand passengers (+14%) at Kaunas Airport and 34 thousand passengers (+31%) at Palanga Airport.

In September, almost 5.4 thousand flights were handled in the LTOU network (+6% more than in the same period in 2023).

In September, 83 regular flight routes were operated across the entire network of Lithuanian airports.
